Default New to Toyota and 4Runner

Got a 1995 Toyota 4Runner V6 for free because some guy didn't want to fix it. Had blown head gaskets. Fixed it at my shop and replaced everything on the way (plug, wires, gaskets, hoses, radiator and ETC.) Seems to runs good then again I've drove one til now. I'm a few other forums but thought I'd join here in case I encounter a problem I can't fix. By the way I live in Snowshoe, WV and this is going to be my wifes winter 4x4.

Hello and welcome, J HO! I also have a '95, but I didn't get as good of a deal as you, although not too bad. I got mine on eBay, and the seller didn't put a reserve price on it, so I got it for about $1000-1500 below market value. They're great trucks--comfortable, dependable, will go anywhere. Just don't ask much of that notoriously wimpy 3.0--it's lack of power and relatively poor fuel economy is well-documented. I aim to fix that with my latest one (number 3!)--it's getting a big dose of American muscle in the form of a fuel-injected 350 V8. It's been a headache, but the payoff should be well worth it! Your wife should love hers--I've enjoyed all of mine. Merry Christmas!
