Rookie DAC and other questions
We have a 2004 SR5 4WD with a V8 Automatic, the wife’s ride and she is very happy with it. Unfortunately we did not get an owners manual with it and there are several things I have not figured out.
First, when and how do I use the DAC? I understand that it is for going down an steep hill, is it like leaving a manual in a low gear and letting the engine limit speed and not the brakes? If someone could give a step by step to activate and de-activate please.
Also by the looks of the 4WD on the outside and no 4WD the inside, I am assuming this is computer controlled. Do the front wheels have power under non-slip conditions? I guess there is no 4Low.
I also have the electronic locker. This is for the rear diff only correct? Is the front differential limited slip or an open?
Finally (for now) does anyone know what gear ratio they put in this model?
