Well, if you don't mind running your dash lights on full bright, pull the wires from the dimmer switch and connect then with a jumper wire. If the problems persist, your dimmer switch is not the problem. If the problems go away, then you've isolated the source.

I do have an aftermarket radio....I installed it three months before I started blowing fuses.....never had any troubles. I brought my truck into the dealership I work at to dio an oil leak and they replaced a valve cover and intake gasket.....and on my way home the guages and heater lights went out....the headlights worked so I assumed the taillights did too. It wasnt for a couple weeks later that I noticed the tail lights didnt work.....so I replaced the fuse and everything worked fine again...for a few minutes. There is nothing that I can seethat triggers the fuse to blow....I was going to put it into the shop for an hour of dio....but it sounds like it might take much longer if they have to trace wires....I have a friend whos a very good mechanic he just wont stop riding his sled until the snow melts.....

Change your tailight bulbs.. I have seen this happen several times...If that doesn't cure it change your front marker bulbs as well...
