2000 4runner limited 4wd OMG!! Went to chane the shocks and struts. Ive been working on cars for years, but this is my first time working on vehicles in the Northeast. So I had to shear both nuts off the top of the rear shocks, no problem. Tightening the rear lower bolt, one sheared off. F***!. Okay a little fristrating, but drill it out and get a new bolt. Man, So I move to the front. I have spring compressors and pulled a front shock and attempted to replace it with a Bilstein HD. Too long. What do I do? Yeah, it really is too long, I tried to pry down the control arm. no deal. Maybe I did something wrong you say? Well, nothing I'm aware of. Here is a pic of what im talking about.

As you can see the bils is much longer than the stocker,,,what should i do. suggestions?
